My name is Hristo Mihaylov, from Varna, Bulgaria, a very-very well experienced second officer. For the last 5 years I have been working on Expedition type vessels, in the most challenging areas of Ice navigation - Svalbard, Antarctica, Canada, Iceland, Greenland (NW passage). In 2015 I started my Passenger fleet career with a Navigation officer contract on m/v Silver Explorer. During my working experience I have: 1) Been in charge and controlling groups of 5-10, sometimes up to 50 people in hierarchy team organization. 2) Accumulated knowledge of SMS, Contingency plans, Risk assessment and other related software and systems. 3) Developed very good cooperation and teamwork qualities in teams of a large variety of Nationalities - Philippines, Chinese, Indonesian, Ukrainian, French, South African etc. 4) Become fluent in English language. 5) Developed and achieved very good communication and leadership skills, flexible personality, good adaptation skills and positive CAN DO attitude at all times.
